Common questions about pricing

Does IronShard charge egress fees?
No egress fees on the Build tier. Egress is free by default because data is distributed across a zero-egress provider mix, so automated reads by agents never run up a bill. The Scale tier tunes the provider mix for latency and location, and egress may apply there.
Is there a limit on free egress?
No. Build has no read-to-storage ratio and no monthly allowance to track. Some providers waive egress only up to a multiple of what you store; IronShard Build attaches no multiple.
Is the $18 per TB price flat?
Yes. The calculator above compares it against published first-tier US list prices and does not model request fees, volume tiers, or committed-use discounts on the hyperscaler side.
How is the Scale tier priced?
Per workload. Each credential sets its own point on a cost-latency dial, and the provider mix is optimized for latency and location. Egress may apply, depending on those requirements. Talk to us with your access pattern and we will price it.
